Five Minute Veggies

      MISE EN PLACE
1 # Veggies cut to size*

2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter

2 Tablespoons Water

1/2 Clove Garlic, minced (or 1 Tablespoon minced Onion

1 teaspoon Dried Thyme (or other herb)

Large Pinch Kosher Salt

4-6 Grinds Black Pepper

     STEPS
1.  Everything goes into a cold pan, cover with lid.

2.  Turn on to high, set timer for 5 minutes.

3.  Halfway thru, give a gentle shake to the pan to stir things up.

4.  Remove lid Captain America style, toss veggies until all water is gone.


Notes-
*Dense veggies should be sliced 1/4" thin.  Think Carrots and Broccoli Stems.  They may still need an extra minute.

*Light veggies may take a minute less.  Think Zucchini and Snap Peas.
